| STEVE MINN is Vice President and a Principal of Lupe Development. Steve directs the planning, acquisition, finance and construction management aspects of the business. Since 2002, Steve has managed the development and construction of over 500 units of housing and over two million square feet of mixed use, commercial and industrial property.
Steve has over 25 years of real estate development experience and a varied career in state and municipal government. He served on the Minneapolis City Council from 1994-1999 and left his post as Minority Leader to join the Ventura Administration in 1999. Steve was State Commissioner of Public Service in 1999, State Commissioner of Commerce from 2000-2001, and currently is a Mayoral appointee as Minneapolis Public Housing Authority Commissioner.
Steve obtained his Bachelor degree from Syracuse University, and holds an MBA in Urban Development/Finance from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Giving back to the community is part of responsible public development. Steve has been appointed to a number of civic boards, including the State Environmental Quality Board, the University of Minnesota Commission on Excellence, the MCDA Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on Housing, and the Mississippi River Critical Area Rulemaking Project. He is a member of the Aeon (formerly: Central Community Housing Trust) Board of Advisers, a Director of Bloomington based Bridgewater Bank, and an active member of the National Apartment Association.
Steve and his bride, Lucy have two boys, Alexander and Zachary and a pint size dog that clearly belongs to Lucy. The Minn’s favorite family activities include canoeing, skiing and sailing. Steve is a bad golfer and an even worse tennis player.
